Susannah Baker is a dedicated humanitarian and advocate for refugee resettlement. Director for Refugee and Asylum work at The Pickwell Foundation, Member of the Resettlement Strategic Engagement Group (RSEG), the Asylum Strategic Engagement Group (ASEG) at the UK Home Office and the Core Delivery Group at DLUHC – Susannah is as engaged with policy and advocacy as much as delivering services on the ground across Northern Devon, alongside a dedicated team. Recognised in the King's Birthday Honours list for helping to shape and drive the Homes For Ukraine Scheme.

Susannah says “it is a privilege to be Chair of the CSA with such an inspiring group of people, all delivering a transformative Resettlement Scheme, for both arriving families and welcoming communities, across all four corners of the UK. The Community Sponsorship movement has been a slow, steady and beautiful thing for the last eight years, showcasing our key asks around more Safe Routes to Safe Homes in Safe Communities, but we hope with some change and a new approach, it could develop and grow on a bigger scale, to become an important choice for future investment”.
