Catherine is Refugee Education UK’s founder and Chief Executive - starting the organisation as a small volunteer project and seeing it grow to a national charity, blending direct education support work for several thousand young refugees each year with research and policy. Alongside her work at REUK, Catherine sits on the leadership team for the international Refugee and Migrant Education Network, and the Hub for Education for Refugees in Europe. She’s also a director for Jigsaw Education, and has led and consulted on refugee education research and programmes internationally for various UN and non-profit agencies. She is a regular speaker at conferences and in the media, an Honorary Associate Professor of Refugee Education at the University of Nottingham, and an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Winchester.
