Amina Khanom is the Director of Reset Communities for Refugees, with over ten years experience in the refugee and asylum sector. She has shaped and supported national resettlement delivery across key UK government programmes, including the Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Scheme, the Vulnerable Children’s Resettlement Scheme, Community Sponsorship, Homes for Ukraine, and labour mobility pathways. In 2017, she led one of the UK’s first Community Sponsorship groups to welcome a resettled family and now co-chairs the Resettlement Strategic Engagement Group with the Home Office, helping to strengthen collaboration between government and civil society. Drawing on her lived experience as a first-generation immigrant, Amina champions community-led solutions that drive sustainable integration, civic participation, and long-term social cohesion.
