The Community Sponsorship Alliance (CSA) represents organisations delivering and supporting refugee resettlement and community sponsorship across the UK. Our members work daily with families rebuilding their lives - supporting English language acquisition, access to education, employment, wellbeing and long-term integration.

We welcome the Government’s consultation on Earned Settlement. We recognise the policy intent: to encourage participation, contribution and integration. However, as practitioners, we have significant concerns about long timeframes, punitive mechanisms, and the lack of supporting infrastructure. 

Our position seeks to balance fairness, inclusion and pragmatism.

 

We aim to propose workable improvements that protect integration outcomes, maintain sponsor confidence, and ensure protection remains meaningful.
