Gordon East

Gordon is a co-founder and CEO of CHARIS. Founded in 2016 and based in Somerset, CHARIS provides support and resettlement services for refugees and asylum seekers. CHARIS has been an active community sponsor over the past 8 years and operates a number of Welcome Centres in Somerset for all displaced people.  

Prior to CHARIS, Gordon worked in various roles as an engineer and in senior management within the oil and gas industry for over 30 years, living for nine years in the Middle East and South East Asia.

Gordon has always had a heart for compassion, for justice and for the displaced, working with CHARIS is a truly wonderful and exciting opportunity to express that calling.
